About Our Moroccan Rugs

Our designers combined traditional design with function inspired by the vast character motifs found in Moroccan art and handwoven rugs. Traditionally, character motifs have special meanings and include daily life in the desert region, which include rebirth, love, earth, sun, and moon. Our rendition of Moroccan character motifs can be seen in Kenza, Kavi, and Lunja.
Ruggable’s hand-drawn Illi and Kella rugs evoke the repeated outlines of the sand dunes caps, paying tribute to the unforgiving yet calming nature of the Moroccan desert. Our color palettes stay true to traditional Moroccan designs, and at the same time infuse a pop of modern polychrome.
